5E  About the shop

A locally owned shop on South Fannin.

5E Communications has been providing phone system installation and sales to the Texas Panhandle since 2006. Kyle Schacher runs it. It is a locally owned business, not a branch of something, and the person who answers the phone is the person who will be in your building.

Why it is all one trade

Phones, network and theater are the same job with different endings.

A customer calls about three different things. An office needs its phones replaced. A family wants a television on the wall without a bundle of cable hanging down to the cabinet. Somebody working from a back bedroom cannot hold a video call.

All three are the same piece of work. A run leaves a panel, gets through a building, and lands where somebody uses it. Do that part properly and the room works and nobody thinks about it again. Do it badly and the next person has to trace every cable by hand to find out what is what.

It is also why a house or an office that has been wired properly once absorbs the next addition easily, and why the shop that put the phone system in is usually the right one to ask about the theater room.

Sold and installed here

We carry it, so we are the ones who have to live with it.

Phone systems are both sold and installed by 5E Communications, and we still work on Nortel and Norstar M&S equipment alongside the ESI systems we carry. A shop that only sells new systems has one recommendation available to it. Being able to keep an older system running is what makes it possible to say honestly that replacing it is not yet worth your money.
